AprQ2 is a Quake II client with Action Quake 2 support. The archive keeps the latest listed Windows build and the older Windows and Linux builds from the original page.

r1q2 is a combined Quake II client/server executable with strong stability and performance. The original page recommends installing the auto updater after extracting the client to keep the binaries current.

Q2 server
r1q2 Dedicated Server
r1q2 Dedicated Server is the recommended Quake II server executable from the original archive. The Windows updater should be extracted into the Quake II directory and run periodically. The GNU/Linux package includes the dedicated server and updater.
